I am Dr. Susan Weber. It has been my dream to have a fulfilling and rewarding career in the profession of veterinary medicine. I have lived my dream since establishing Crystal Valley Mobile Veterinary Care.
I grew up in San Diego and then moved to the Roaring Fork Valley following high school. My love for animals and a desire to work with them brought me to Colorado Mountain College where I completed their Certified Veterinary Technician program. I gained a lot of experience working as a veterinary technician but felt I could do more for animals as a veterinarian. I completed my pre-vet requirements at Colorado State. I was accepted into their Professional Veterinary Medical Program, and after four grueling years, I graduated with honors.
Since graduation in 1995, I have gained my experience working in high quality multi-doctor practices. I have also completed The International Veterinary Acupuncture Course for small animals. I am a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Colorado Veterinary Medical Association.
I love being a mobile veterinarian in the valley. The house calls are relaxed. There is no time pressure or distractions. I get to see my patients in their home environment and get to know their owners in a comfortable setting.
I live in the Crystal River Valley with my husband, Kevin, my dogs, Ripple and Stella Blue and my twenty one year old cat, Mushy. My dogs make sure I get out in the mountains everyday regardless of the weather.
I enjoy going to music festivals in the summer, NFL football in the fall, and reading all year long. I am proud to be a veterinarian and am committed to life long learning.
